Natural Stone Retaining Walls
Natural stone walls and drainage swales lead to a PVC drain tile system. Flush with the top course of stones is a concrete driveway and walkways to the homeowners front doors.

Flagstone Pathway
Reclaimed flagstones set to existing grade and mower friendly. A natural drainage system was created at the bottom of the hill before the ramp to the shed. It is designed to move water under the flagstones to a natural swale leading to a drain to prevent water from ponding in the landscape to the right of the photo.

Mower-Friendly Pathway
This installation of flagstones gave an attractive way to people to navigate to the patio from the garage. The stones are set to allow a lawnmower to roll over the top without damage to the mower or stones.

Irregular Wall Stone Border
An overgrown wildflower raised landscape bed is soon to have a new stone border.
After a shallow trench was excavated for a setting bed for the boulders, each stone was hand selected for the appropriate angles and size. By looking closely, you can see that the seams between the stones align in a natural manner (a little elbow grease is needed sometimes) creating a better soil retention system. This tight stone-to-stone install is not only aesthetically pleasing it is also functional and mower friendly due to the faces of the stones align to create a naturally flat wall. Soil and mulch are much better retained when stones are installed in this manner.
Dry-laid Natural Stone
This dry-laid (no mortar or adhesives) natural stone accent wall allows water to drain out of the raised landscape bed without the issues of mother nature. This type of wall is available in many different colors and sizes, the types of stone vary as well to highlight an area or compliment features of your home.
